The buzz on social media this Eid-ul-Azha revolves around a goat priced at an astonishing Tk15 lakh, intended for sacrifice at an agro farm in Dhaka. This exorbitantly priced goat has captured widespread attention, sparking a mixture of curiosity and controversy.

Many on social media claimed that the goat was purchased by Mushfiqur Rahman Iffat, the son of a revenue official.

“My son is very religious, prays five times a day, and has studied abroad. He left a job worth $100,000 and now lives with us in Bashundhara. This unfounded slander about my simple and reclusive son has deeply hurt us."
