Palak arrested while fleeing Delhi

State Minister for Post, Telecommunication, and Information Technology, Junaid Ahmed Palak, was detained at Shahjalal International Airport while attempting to flee to Delhi, India. The arrest took place in the airport's VIP lounge around 3 PM today (Tuesday), as confirmed by official sources from the Civil Aviation Authority (BABIC).

It has been reported that Palak, a member of Sheikh Hasina's government, was waiting in the VIP lounge when airport staff detained him. Shortly thereafter, Air Force officials arrived and took him into custody.

Palak's whereabouts had been unknown since Sheikh Hasina fled to India yesterday amidst a student uprising. There were widespread rumors regarding his location, with speculation that he might have already left the country.

Adding to the turmoil, Palak's house in Singra, Natore, was attacked by an angry mob last night. The crowd set fire to his residence and looted it.
