2 killed as 5 vehicles catch fire after oil-laden lorry overturns in Savar

Three units of fire service doused the blaze
At least two people were killed and nine others were injured when five vehicles caught on fire after an oil-laden lorry overturned in Savar on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the Jorpul area in Hemayetpur.
On information, three units of fire service rushed to the spot and doused the blaze
The deceased have been identified as Iqbal and Nazrul Islam.
Eight of the injured have been identified as Milon Molla, 22, Mim, 10, Al-Amin 35, Nironjon, 45, Helal, 30, Abdus Salam, 35, Sakib, 24, Md Al Amin, 22.
Seven of them have been admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in Dhaka.
Resident Surgeon of the institute Dr Md Tariqul Islam confirmed the matter.
Savar Highway police station Officer-in-Charge Md Babul said four trucks and a private car were burnt when an oil-laden lorry overturned and caught fire.
Vehicular movement on the Dhaka-Aricha highway came to a standstill after the incident. Police are working to normalize traffic.
