MPO scheme: High Court orders transfer policy for teachers within 3 months

The High Court has directed the authorities concerned to formulate a transfer policy for teachers of private educational institutions under the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) scheme across the country within three months.
The concerned defendants, including the secretary of the Ministry of Education, have been asked to formulate the policy.
The High Court bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Kazi Zinat Hoque passed the order after hearing a writ petition.
Earlier, more than 100 teachers of MPO-affiliated educational institutions in different districts of the country filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking its directives to formulate a transfer policy.
Advocate Mohammad Siddique Ullah Mia, who stood for the writ petitioner, said that the court has ordered the formulation of a transfer policy for teachers of private educational institutions. Through this verdict, the long-standing hopes and demands of the teachers have been fulfilled.
