TikToker Prince Mamun sent to jail in rape case

Woman TikToker mentions Mamun raped her after promising to marry her
A Dhaka court has ordered to send TikToker Abdullah Al Mamun alias Prince Mamun to jail in a rape case filed by another woman TikToker.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mamunur Rashid's court passed the order on Tuesday after rejecting the bail and remand plea.
Earlier, the investigating officer of the case, Dhaka Cantonment police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Muhammad Shahjahan produced the accused before the court and applied for a seven-day remand.
Prince Mamun was arrested from the Daudkandi Toll Plaza on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 10pm on Monday.
The woman TikToker filed the case with Dhaka Cantonment police station on June 9, the OC added.
OC Shahinur Rahman of Cantonment police station said the case statement mentions that Prince Mamun promised the woman marriage before raping her several times.
The woman said they met through social media around three years ago. They moved in together at the woman’s house in Dhaka on January 7, 2022, after they developed a romantic relationship.
Mamun’s mother also started living with them during that time.
The woman mentions that Mamun violated her last on March 14 of this year. And when she asked him to get married to her, he physically and verbally assaulted her.
