Barrister Perth on remand for 5 days

Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman and former Member of Parliament Barrister Andalib Rahman Perth has been remanded for 5 days by the court.
Thursday (July 25) Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka. The court of Sultan Sohag Uddin gave this order.
Earlier, Parth was arrested from his home in Gulshan in the capital on Wednesday (July 24) at around 1 am in the case of Banani police station in connection with the attack and arson of Setu Bhavan around the quota movement.
According to DB sources, Andalib Rahman Parth has given various inflammatory posts on behalf of students in the quota movement through social media.
Meanwhile, 201 cases have been filed in various police stations of Dhaka metropolis regarding violence and vandalism in the capital during the quota movement. DMP has arrested two thousand 209 people in these cases so far.
Apart from this, in the last 8 days (July 17-24), the number of arrests across the country has reached about 4500. This information about the arrest has been reported from various metropolitan, district and police stations.
