46th BCS: Preliminary test Friday

The 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examination will be held on Friday (April 26).
The tests will begin at 10am and will continue till 12pm and will be held simultaneously in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh centres, according to Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) sources.
PSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre) Ananda Kumar Biswas said that all preparations have been made to conduct the examinations smoothly.
The 46th BCS preliminary examination was earlier scheduled to be held on March 9. The PSC also issued a notification in this regard. However, the date of the exam has been postponed due to the city corporation elections.
The notification for the 46th BCS was released on November 30 last year. The application period was extended until December 31, with applications for the 46th BCS opening on December 10.
According to the notification, there are a total of 3,140 vacancies across various cadres, with the majority of positions in the health cadre. Specifically, 1,682 assistant surgeons and 16 assistant dental surgeons will be recruited in this BCS cycle.
