Pori Moni signs up for a new film

Celebrated Bangladeshi actress Pori Moni is set to make her comeback to the big screen with the government-funded film "Story of Dodo." This exciting project marks her return to acting after becoming a mother nearly a year ago. Directed by Reza Ghatok and produced by Nazmul Haque Bhuiyan, the film has received a substantial grant of Tk 60 lakhs from the government.
In "Story of Dodo," Pori Moni will take on the role of Kajol, a single mother, in a poignant exploration of the challenges faced by single mothers in Bangladesh. The narrative will span two decades, offering a glimpse into Kajol's journey as she navigates the highs and lows of motherhood.
Adding depth to the storyline, Monira Mithu has been cast to portray Kajol's mother in the film. Pori Moni is confident that audiences of all ages will find a connection with the compelling narrative and has expressed her enthusiasm for taking on diverse roles and stories.
This project marks Pori Moni's much-anticipated return to the silver screen following her maternity hiatus. Fans can also look forward to her appearance in Raihan Rafi's upcoming web-film, slated for release on Binge. Additionally, she is set to star alongside Mahfuz Ahmed in Chayanika Chowdhury's forthcoming web-film, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
