Operations resume at 599 police stations across Bangladesh

599 out of 639 police stations in Bangladesh had resumed operations by 3pm on Sunday, as reported by the Police Headquarters.

This includes 97 of 110 stations in metropolitan areas and 502 of 529 in district regions.

The disruption of services began following the fall of the Hasina government on August 5, which led to widespread attacks on police stations across the country.

Some stations were set on fire, compelling officers to evacuate.

Inspector General of Police Md Mainul Islam announced that the recent unrest has resulted in the deaths of 42 police personnel and injuries to 507 others.

Currently, 27 of the injured are receiving treatment at Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital.
