He said that vandalism is unjust. Awami League engaged in it, now if someone follows the same path, they are equally guilty.
Kader Siddique, a freedom fighter and former MP, faced an obstruction when he went to Dhanmondi 32 in the capital on Thursday morning for paying tribute to the memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
At this time, his car came under attack and was vandalized. This incident happened around 7am on Thursday.
Siddique told Dhaka Tribune: “I went there with flowers to pay tribute.”
“The government cancelled the holiday but it does not mean the mourning is cancelled,” he stated.
Siddique believes that some individuals are exploiting the historical victories of students and mass uprisings
He also claimed that the Awami League is indirectly responsible for vandalism through its years of misruling.
Kader Siqque said: “I am a freedom fighter. I went to war with inspiration from Bangabandhu. It is undeniable that he is the father of the nation.”
He lso thinks that vandalizing his car is an isolated incident. “If it (car vandalism) brings prosperity, I will be happy."
