MCC: Election materials sent to polling centres

The Election Commission has completed all preparations for the Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) election to be held on Saturday.

Voting equipment including electronic voting machines (EVMs) was handed over to the presiding officer and other officials concerned at on Friday.

Voting will continue from 8am till 4pm on Saturday.

Returning Officer Belayet Hossain said that all preparations have been completed for free and peaceful polling following the instructions of the Election Commission.

He said RAB, BGB, police, APBn and Ansar will be deployed to maintain law and order, and 33 executive magistrates and 11 judicial magistrates will be on duty.

Voters can come to their polling centres and cast votes without any hassle, the RO added.
