Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal assured that all routes into the capital will remain open for political parties, including BNP, on October 28.
The government has no intentions to block any entrances, he confirmed during a law and order meeting on the occasion of Victory Day on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Kamal emphasized Bangladesh's democratic nature, allowing peaceful political activities. However, he cautioned that law and order forces would intervene if any disruptions occurred, leading to public disturbances.
The minister pointed out the challenges of managing such a large gathering in Dhaka, a city already dealing with significant traffic congestion.
He also dismissed rumours about Ansar forces, clarifying that they lacked the authority to make arrests. “Any claims suggesting otherwise were deemed false propaganda,” he added.
