Will discuss the whole range of bilateral relations
Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra will visit Bangladesh on Saturday.
He will have a bilateral meeting with his counterpart Masud Bin Momen and call on Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud.
Foreign Secretary Momen will also host a reception in his honour.
They will discuss the whole range of bilateral relations.
The visit is being seen as a first step of taking preparations for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to New Delhi in the last week of June or the first week of July after the general elections in India.
Bangladesh and India are close friends. During the BJP government in India, the relations raised to the golden chapter level.
Opposition Congress Party in the election manifesto promised to strengthen the relations further.
