All the bank accounts of Palak and his wife's business were seized

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has ordered the seizure of the bank accounts of former Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, his wife, family and businesses owned by them. At the same time, the organization has asked for all types of transaction information in their account within the next five working days.
A senior official of BFIU confirmed this information to Dhaka Post on Tuesday (August 13).
In the letter sent by BFIU to banks, financial institutions, it is said that all transactions through personal and business accounts of Junaid Ahmed Palak, his wife Arifa Jasmine Kanika and their family members will be closed. For the next 30 days, you will not be able to make any kind of transaction.
BFIU issued this order as per Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2012.
