Therefore, in the days to come, his party aims to work for the country with honesty and integrity, Ilias said while presiding over the inaugural ceremony of his new political party, Janata Party Bangladesh, at an upscale hotel in the capital on Friday.

He said that despite certain accomplishments, his efforts toward ensuring road safety over the past 32 years have been met with limited success.

Throughout this time, no government extended support to his initiatives, he claimed.

He emphasized that the implementation of any positive initiative requires governmental support and sincere political will.

Ilias expressed his intention to contribute to the political sphere in the same way he has worked for public safety and social protection over the past three decades.

In this regard, he called upon the public to stand by him.

The partial committee of the Janata Party Bangladesh was announced with Ilias Kanchan as chairman and Golam Sarwar Milon serving as both executive chairman and spokesperson.

The vice chairmen include Rafiqul Haque Hafiz, Advocate ABM Waliur Rahman, Rehana Salam, Advocate Mohammad Abdullah, MA Yusuf, Syeda Azizun Nahar, Golam Mehraj, Brigadier General (Retd) Kamrul Islam and Nirmal Chakraborty.

The members of the executive committee include senior joint Secretary general M Asaduzzaman, along with joint secretary generals Advocate ABM Rafiqul Haque Talukdar Raja, Al Amin Raju, Advocate Shiuli Sultana Ruby, Nazmul Ahsan, Jamal Uddin, Shahadat Hossain, Asaduzzaman and Zakir Hossain Litu.

Nurul Kader Sohel has been appointed as the coordinator, while Advocate Jahangir, Zakir Hossain and Fatema Begum will serve as deputy coordinators.
