The derailment has suspended rail communication with Khulna across the country at 10:20am, causing suffering to passengers, Jashore Railway Station Master Aynal Hossain confirmed the matter.
A bogie derailed just before the rail crossing on Mujib Road at 10:20am, he said.
A rescue team later began working at the site.
Due to the derailment on line number one, rail communication with Khulna has been closed. He said the situation would normalise soon.
Meanwhile, hundreds of passengers are facing trouble due to the derailment.
