At a press conference held at the party's Bijoynagar office, Faruk Hasan, vice president of Gono Odhikar Parishad, said that student representatives had demanded the removal of the two advisers, who were former student leaders.

"To uphold the neutrality of the interim government, the two student leaders serving as advisers -- Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain and Mahfuj Alam -- must resign immediately. If they refuse, we will announce strict programmes in collaboration with other political parties and pro-revolutionary forces," he added.

Faruk further said, "This government is supposed to serve the people. But instead of realising their expectations, it is selectively patronising a political party. This raises serious doubts and suspicions about its intentions."

"If this government does not realise the aspirations of the people, the people will also stand against this government", he added.
