GST extends admission application deadline by one day

Date extended due to Cyclone Remal
The application deadline for admission into the 24 universities participating in the GST (General, Science and Technology) cluster system has been extended by one day due to Cyclone Remal.
The initial deadline was set for Tuesday, marking the end of the application period that began on May 20.
Professor Dr Anwar Hossain, convenor of the batch admission examination committee, confirmed this extension.
He said: “According to the previous announcement, today (Tuesday) was the last day to apply. However, due to Cyclone Remal, internet service has been disrupted in many areas. Considering the students' difficulties, the application deadline has been extended by one day.”
Prior to this, the A Unit (Science) Faculty exam was held on April 27, the B Unit (Humanities) Faculty exam on May 3, and the C Unit (Commerce) Faculty exam on April 10.
Following the exams, the batch admissions examination committee announced that classes for the new academic year would commence on August 1.
The 24 universities included in the cluster are:
Jagannath University, Islami University, Khulna University, Comilla University, Kazi Nazrul University, Begum Rokeya University, Barisal University, Rabindra University, Bangabandhu Digital University, Sheikh Hasina University, Shahjalal Science and Technology University, Haji Danesh Science and Technology University, Maulana Bhasani Science and Technology University, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Jessore Science and Technology University, Pabna Science and Technology University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Science and Technology University, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University, Chandpur Science and Technology University, Sunamganj Science and Technology University, Rangamati University of Science and Technology, Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology.
