Spokesperson: Peter Haas in Dhaka, no plans to travel to India

The US issue came following a report from Indian Express newspaper
US Embassy spokesperson has said that Ambassador Peter Haas has no plans to travel to India, giving evidence that he has in fact been in Dhaka attending public events.
The US issue came as the Indian Express newspaper reported that the Ambassador had flown to New Delhi to attend the “2+2 talks” between the foreign ministers and defence ministers of India and the US.
The newspaper also said the Bangladesh issue would come up in the talk.
"The Ambassador has no plans to travel to India to join the 2+2 dialogue," the US embassy spokesperson told journalists.
The embassy also shared a Facebook link to the Shakti Foundation. The ambassador visited a stall of the foundation in the festival of Yoga & Wellness program on Friday.
