Sammilito Mohajote to field candidates in 300 seats

Sammilito Mohajote, established by eight alliances on November 11, revealed its candidates for 300 seats in the upcoming 12th national parliamentary election under the banner of Bangladesh Congress.

The candidate introduction and announcement ceremony of Sammilito Mohajote took place at the Jatiya Press Club on Friday.

During this event, the convener of Sammilito Mohajote and chairman of Bangladesh Congress Advocate Kazi Rezaul Hossain made the announcement.

Rezaul Hossain said: "In addition to participating in national and local government elections, Sammilito Mohajote will collaboratively plan programs for the country's interests, address national crises, and ensure free, fair, impartial, and participatory elections through the efforts of its candidates in their respective constituencies."

He added: "We have no other option but elections to save the country. The whole world is looking towards the election in Bangladesh. Therefore, all political parties in this country must organize fair and impartial elections on their own responsibility."

Shafiqul Islam Khokon, a leader of Sammilito Mohajote and senior vice-chairman of Bangladesh Congress, said: "Today, we have announced candidacy for 300 seats. We have released the names of 600 candidates from our grand alliance. Candidate verification will continue from the evening."
