Khasru secures bail in another case

Khasru has been in jail since November 9
BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has secured bail in one case filed with Paltan model police station.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain's court granted him bail after a hearing on Wednesday afternoon, Khasru’s lawyer Md Asaduzzaman told the media.
Earlier on January 17, Khasru was granted bail in two cases. The same court granted him bail on January 18 in four more cases related to political violence in October last year filed with the Paltan and Ramna police stations. After that, the court granted him bail in two other cases on Sunday.
The court fixed Wednesday for further bail hearing in two cases.
However, the magistrate rejected his bail petition in a case over an attack on the chief justice's residence on October 28, prevening his release from jail.
Detectives detained the senior BNP leader at his home in Gulshan on November 2.
The next day, a Dhaka court granted the police six days to question him in custody.
He was sent to jail after the remand period on November 9 and has been there since then.
