Menon, Inu, Palak, Mamun sent to jail after remand

Workers Party of Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSaD) President Hasanul Haq Inu, former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak and former inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun have been ordered to be sent to jail by a court.

After their remand ended, the investigating officer presented them before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning, requesting their detention in jail. 

Their lawyers had applied for bail. However, after the hearing, the court rejected the bail applications and ordered their detention in jail.

On the same day, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun was shown arrested in four cases.
