‘BNP's movement has now become a matter of laughter’
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday said that BNP's movement is a conspiracy for the destruction of the country and democratic culture.
“BNP's movement has now become a matter of laughter and jokes at home and abroad,” said Quader while briefing at the political office of the Awami League president in Dhanmondi.
He said that the BNP has the right to give political programs peacefully. But in the name of the movement, if they carry out terrorist acts like October 28, destroy state property, burn people, and disrupt public safety, the concerned organization will take appropriate action in this regard.
"The movement of the BNP is not clear, once they participated in the election as part of the movement, and again they tried to foil the election."
“BNP has failed by repeatedly calling for the so-called movement and has turned the political movement into a laughing stock. We will not stop the peaceful program of BNP. Everyone has the right to carry out peaceful protest. It is not out of democratic norms,” said Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges minister.
Obaidul Quader also warned that if the BNP resorts to violence in the name of conflict and programs in the name of the movement, the law enforcement agencies will take action against them.
He also said: “We will also deal with it politically."
