Eid journey: 4 pairs of special trains to run on three routes from Chittagong

Four pairs of special trains will run from Chittagong to different destinations on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Chittagong Divisional Manager (East) Saiful Islam confirmed the information on Friday.

These trains will run from April 5 to the day before Eid and from day one to day five after Eid.

This is the first time that the Eid special train will run on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar route. These trains will stop at eight stations between Chittagong-Cox's Bazar stations for the first time.

Saiful said: “Two pairs of trains will run on Chittagong to Chandpur route, one pair will run on Mymensingh route and another pair will run on Cox's Bazar route.”

Advance ticket sales have already started from March 24 for train passengers on the occasion of Eid. Advance ticket sales will continue till March 30.

Tickets for April 3 were sold on March 24. Advance tickets for April 9 will be sold on Saturday.

Similarly, the sale of return tickets will start from April 3 and will continue till April 9. Return tickets for April 13 will be issued on April 3 and return tickets for April 9 will be issued on April 9. This time advance tickets are being sold 100% online.
