BGB members will work as a mobile striking force to assist the local administration in maintaining peace and order before, during and after the 12th parliamentary election, said BGB public relations officer Shariful Islam.
The platoons will also work to ensure the election is held in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
The BGB will perform its duties with professionalism to maintain law and order so that voters can go to polling centres and exercise their voting rights without any hindrance and prevent any violence and sabotage during the election, said the BGB official.
