The Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2025 will be held at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka, says cultural affairs adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.
“We are going to have a positive outcome,” he told the media on Wednesday (November 13) in Dhaka.
Recently, in a letter, the Ministry of Housing and Public Works asked the Bangla Academy to arrange the book fair on its own premises instead of Suhrawardy Udyan.
In this regard, he said, “We hope the book fair will be held at the venue where it was taking place before."
Meanwhile, the Bangla Academy has written to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs requesting that the Amar Ekushey Book Fair be allowed to be held at Suhrawardy Udyan.
