The call was made at the two-day Global Alliance for the Implementation of the two- state solution which was held in Riyad, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 30-31 October, according to a handout.
The high-level event, attended by around 90 delegations from the OIC, the Arab League and UN member states, was inaugurated by Saudi foreign minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdul Aziz on Wednesday.
Additional Foreign Secretary Dr Nazrul Islam led the two-member Bangladesh delegation, also comprised of the foreign ministry’s director general of West Asia Md Shafiqur Rahman.
Bangladesh delegation head extended gratitude to Saudi Arabia and the co-initiators of the Global Alliance for hosting the time-befitting grand gathering.
Two-state solution - an agreement that would create a state for the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip alongside Israel. Hamas rejects the two-state solution and is sworn to Israel's destruction. Israel has said a Palestinian state must be demilitarised so as not to threaten Israel.
