A foil paper got stuck on the overhead catenary system
The metro rail operations were disrupted for more than an hour from 7am due to a piece of foil paper getting stuck in the wires on Sunday.
A source at the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) confirmed the matter on Sunday morning.
After the rain in the morning, a piece of foil paper flew in the stormy wind and landed on the overhead catenary system of the metro rail somewhere between Bijoy Shani and Farmgate stations. It took five minutes to remove it.
He also said that it took about an hour to resolve the issue as there was no maintenance team at that time.
Passengers present at the station said the incident took place around 7am. At this time, people were gathered at the station.
