Seven firefighting units working
A fire broke out at S Alam’s sugar mill at Moijjartek in Chittagong around 4pm on Monday.
Chittagong Fire Service and Civil Defence Assistant Director Abdul Malek confirmed the matter to media.
On information, seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire.
Two units from Karnaphuli Modern Fire Station, two from Chandanpura Fire Station, two from Kalurghat Fire Station, and one from Agrabad Fire Station are working.
No casualties were reported so far.
On Friday, a fire broke out in S Alam’s under-construction cold storage in the Bakolia area of the port city of Chittagong.
