3 dead, 10 injured in Faridpur bus accident

Identities of two deceased yet to be confirmed
Three people died and at least 10 others were injured when a passenger bus overturned in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Friday morning.
The incident happened near the Babnatala bus stand on the Dhaka-Barisal highway.
Upon receiving the news, members of the fire service and Highway Police rushed to the scene, rescued the injured and admitted them to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.
The bodies of the deceased were recovered and taken to the police station, said Bhanga Fire Service Station Manager Abu Zafar.
The driver of the Dhaka-bound bus of Imran Travels that had left Barisal on Thursday night lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn on the road.
The bus was completely mangled, and the passengers inside were trapped, killing two people at the scene, he said.
One of the deceased was Shafikul Islam Suruj, 45, Bhanga Highway Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Abu Saeed said.
The identities of the other deceased are yet to be confirmed, he said.
