A Dhaka Court on Tuesday sent Sehela Parveen,wife of Ali Akbar Khan, former chairman of Bangladesh Technical Education Board,to jail after the end of her remand.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court issued the order after the hearing on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier, the investigation officer of the case Lalbagh Investigation Department Inspector Md Amirul Islam filed a request show her arrestedin the case after two days of remand.
The accused's lawyer Abdur Rahman applied for bail.
After that, the court fixed the date of bail hearing and decided to send Sehela Parveen to jail on Wednesday, Jalal Uddin, Sub-Inspector of General Registration Branch of Mirpur Model Police Station, confirmed the information.
On April 1, the detectives conducted a raid at a house in the Pirer Bagh area of Mirpur in the capital and arrested the Bangladesh Technical Education Board's computer cell system analyst AKM Shamsuzzaman and the same organization's sacked and currently Shamsuzzaman's personally paid assistant, Faisal. A large number of mark sheets, fake certificates, registration cards and admit cards were recovered from them.
During questioning, Shamsuzzaman's name was linked to Shehla Parveen.
