Another murder case filed against Hasina

A murder case was filed against former prime minister Sheik Hasina and 33 people in connection with the killing of Alem Al Faidi, an apprentice technician, during the student protest at Lokkhi Bazar in Dhaka.
The case was filed by Shamsul Arefin, a Jagannath University's Bangla department student, on Wednesday.
The court directed the Sutrapur police station to accept the complainant's statement as a case.
According to the case statement, on July 19, after offering Jumma prayers in the Lokkhi Bazar area, students of various educational institutions, including Jagannath University, started a rally.
Alem Al Faidi, an apprentice technician, was shot dead in front of the Government Kabi Nazrul College during that time. He was shot in the head.
Sheikh Hasina is the prime accused in the case.
The other accused in the case are JnU Chhatra League Vice President Ibrahim Sanim, Bangla Dept Secretary Arjun Biswas, mathematics student Mahimur Rahman Bijoy, statistics student Minun Mahfuz and physics student Shahrukh Alam Shovon.
Shamsul Arefin said: “A culture of justice must be upheld to reinstate justice and humanity in society and the state.”
