4 killed in clash with police in Uttara-Ajampur

In a violent clash between anti-quota activists and the police during a pre-announced complete shutdown program, four individuals, including students and pedestrians, were killed when police fired on protesters attempting to block the road in the Uttara-Ajampur area. The deceased bodies have been kept at Kuwait Maitri Hospital.
Superintendent of Kuwait Maitri Hospital, Mizanur Rahman, confirmed the incident on Thursday afternoon. He reported that about fifty people came to the hospital for treatment, with four declared dead. Among the injured is a police officer.
Additionally, it has been reported that another individual died at Uttara Modern Medical College Hospital due to the clash. An anonymous source indicated that over 200 people were shot during the altercation, resulting in one fatality. The seriously injured have been transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for further treatment.
