Seminar on Enhancing Communication Skills in Journalism

The Bangladesh Media Study Center organized a seminar on "Journalism in Improving Communication Skills" at the Shishu Kalyan Parishad auditorium in the capital on Thursday.

Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of developing strong communication skills and embracing contemporary technology to excel in journalism.

Northern University teacher and researcher Ekram Uddin Summam, the keynote speaker, emphasized that effective communication is vital for journalists to accurately reflect the realities of the nation. He stated, "There is no alternative to improving communication skills in journalism."

Mr. Summam further noted, "A journalist can only truly thrive in their career by continuously honing their communication skills. Moreover, leveraging technology to its fullest potential in the communication field significantly enhances one's professional capabilities."

Other speakers included TRT World's Bangladesh representative and senior journalist Kamruzzaman Bablu, and Director General of Center for Advanced Media Education and entrepreneur Plaban Tariq. The seminar attracted over a hundred students from various universities and colleges in Dhaka.
