Gold prices come down

New price from Thursday. 22 carat price drops by Tk1,283.
The price of gold has dropped in the country's market.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) announced the price adjustment in a press release signed by MA Hannan Azad, chairman of the Bajus price fixing and price monitoring standing committee, on Wednesday.
Bajus said that the new prices have been adjusted in view of the reduction in the price of acid gold (hard gold) in the local market. The new price will be implemented from Thursday.
Per bhori (11.664 grams) of the best quality gold has been reduced by Tk1,283 to the new price.
With this, the price of best quality or 22 carat gold has become Tk99,960. Until now the price of gold in this category was Tk1,01,243 (gross).
The price of per bhori 21 carat gold has been fixed at Tk95,411, the price of 18 carat Tk81,764 and traditional method gold price has been fixed at Tk68,117.
According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is Tk1,715, the price of 21 carat is Tk1,633, the price of 18 carat is Tk1,400 and the price of traditional silver is Tk1,050.
