BNP activists threw bricks at police
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed in the capital to control the heated situation centered around BNP and Awami League rallies.
BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam told that 10 platoon border guards were deployed after the police, BNP men clash in Kakrail.
BGB members have started patrolling the area after the clash with BNP activists around the chief justice's residence in Kakrail.
Police tried to control the situation by firing rubber bullets, tear gas and sound grenades during the clashes.
On the other hand, BNP workers threw bricks at the police. At one point, the activists supported by BNP retreated and moved towards the rally.
