Fakhrul: Khaleda Zia was intentionally kept away from army

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday said that Khaleda Zia has dedicated a large part of her life to democracy and the sovereignty of the country.

For 12 years, she was deliberately kept away from the country's most patriotic institution, the military.

He made these comments on Thursday  during Armed Forces Day celebrations at Sena Kunj.

He further added: "Today, I would like to express my gratitude to the Armed Forces, especially the Air Chief and Naval Chief. Additionally, we are grateful to our chief adviser, Dr Mohammad Yunus, for the respect shown to Madam, which has not only made us grateful but has also brought joy to the entire nation."
