Flood Situation Update in Bangladesh

Teesta and Dharla rivers may flow above danger level
Kurigram, Jamalpur, Gaibandha, Bogra, Tangail, Sirajganj Districts:
- Flood conditions in low-lying areas adjacent to the Brahmaputra-Jamuna river are expected to remain steady.
Teesta, Dharla, Dudhkumar Rivers:
- Expected to rise within the next 24 hours.
- Teesta and Dharla rivers may flow above danger levels at some stations for short durations.
- Flood situation may slightly deteriorate in low-lying areas of Kurigram district near the Dudhkumar River.
Jamuneswari, Upper Karatoa, Upper Atrai, Punarava, Tangon, Ichamoti-Jamuna Rivers:
- Anticipated rapid rise at particular times.
Atrai River (Baghabari Point):
- Expected to fall, potentially improving flood conditions in low-lying areas of Sirajganj district over the next 24 hours.
North-Eastern Region:
- Flood situation in various low-lying areas expected to remain steady.
Brahmaputra and Jamuna Rivers:
- Brahmaputra River is rising.
- Jamuna River remains steady.
- Both rivers expected to remain steady over the next 24 hours.
Ganges River:
- Rising trend expected to continue over the next 72 hours.
Padma River:
- Steady state expected to continue over the next 24 hours.
Kushiyara River (North-Eastern Region):
- Remains steady.
Surma River (North-Eastern Region):
- Rising trend expected to continue over the next 24 hours.
Weather Forecast:
- Heavy rainfall expected in the northern and north-eastern regions and adjoining upstream areas over the next 24 hours.
