City College students assaulted Dhaka College student
Additional police have been deployed in Dhaka's Science Lab area to prevent clashes between Dhaka College and Dhaka City College students.
New Market police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Aminul Islam said: "We are on alert to avoid untoward incidents. Additional police have been deployed to avoid any kind of clash or similar situation.”
Since Sunday morning, members of the law enforcement agencies have been on high alert in front of Nayem Alley near Dhaka College, in front of the main gate of Dhaka City College, and in front of the Science Lab police box.
On Thursday, some students of City College beat up a student of Dhaka College. He was later detained at City College.
As the news of the incident spread on the Dhaka College campus, the students proceeded towards City College.
Several clashes took place in front of City College, the Science Laboratory area and in front of Dhaka College.
