Determination to uphold Bangabandhu's vision of prosperous Bangladesh

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that the BNP tends to adopt an anti-India stance when there are no political issues at hand.

He made these comments while speaking to journalists after paying tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar around 7am on Tuesday.

Quader noted that even after five decades, the BNP continues to play a role against independence, a stance observed previously during the Pakistan period.

Expanding on historical context, Quader referenced events such as the rebellion led by Mangal Pandey at Barrackpore, emphasizing the long-standing struggle for independence in the region.

He highlighted the contributions of revolutionary figures like Titumir, Khudiram, and Surya Sen, underscoring the enduring quest for freedom.

Quader emphasized the pivotal role played by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in shaping the nation's destiny, drawing parallels with historical figures like Vijay Singh and Gopal Rahman.

The Awami League general secretary reaffirmed a commitment to combat communal forces obstructing the nation's progress, particularly under the leadership of BNP.

He asserted a determination to uphold Bangabandhu's vision of a prosperous Bangladesh.
