MP Anar murder: 2 new suspects arrested from Khagracchari

Arrested suspects being brought to Dhaka
Two more suspected accused have been arrested during a drive in a remote hilly area of Khagrachhari in connection with the murder of Jhenaidah lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar.
The accused are Mostafizur Rahman and Foisal Ali.
Foisal and Mostafiz were detained in the remote hills of Khagrachhari.They are being brought to Dhaka.

Chief of Detective Branch’s (DB) Additional Commissioner Harunor Rashid led the drive.
But details are yet to be disclosed.
So far, five people have been arrested in Bangladesh and two in India and Nepal in connection with this incident.
Among those arrested, two leaders of the Jhenaidah District Awami League have been detained.
On Wednesday, DB police took Kamal Ahmed Babu, alias Gas Babu, the district's Relief and Social Welfare Secretary, to Jhenaidah to recover three mobile phones.
The police are conducting operations to recover the phones from multiple ponds and ditches of the district town.
Anwarul Azim Anar, a lawmaker from the ruling Awami League, crossed the Darshana-Gede border into India for treatment on May 12. He stayed at his friend Gopal Biswas’s home in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal.
The following day, he left to see a doctor at around noon and was expected to return in the evening. However, a WhatsApp message from his phone to Biswas said that he had gone to Delhi instead and would call if necessary.
Since then, he could not be reached by phone. Eventually, the Bangladesh government confirmed his death on May 22, citing Indian police.
