In a response to the United Nations (UN)'s recent "Fact-Finding Mission" report, Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Ameer Allama Muhibbullah Babunagari and General Secretary Maulana Sajidur Rahman have called for the state to officially ban the Awami League.

The demand was made public on Friday afternoon, with the organization's Joint Secretary, Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, sharing the statement.

According to the statement, the UN's report has unveiled the extensive human rights violations committed by Sheikh Hasina and her associates, with the findings supported by documented evidence. The Hefazat-e-Islam leaders accuse Hasina of orchestrating and overseeing acts of violence, including abductions, killings, and torture by her loyal forces.

The statement also specifically references the Pilkhana massacre, enforced disappearances and killings and other events, calling for the Awami League to be banned for its involvement in these events.

The leaders warn that without such a ban, the Awami League's fascist tendencies will continue to destabilize the nation, preventing both the government and the people from living in peace.

Furthermore, Hefazat-e-Islam leaders expressed concerns over India's ongoing stance, accusing the neighboring country of behaving like an enemy state. They allege that India continues to support Hasina's regime, offering shelter and opportunities for her to engage in conspiracies against the country.

The leaders emphasized the urgent need for the expeditious trial of Hasina for her alleged role in human rights violations, including abductions, killings, and genocide.

They also called for swift action against her identified loyalists within various government forces. Hefazat-e-Islam believes that only by ensuring justice for these crimes can the July Revolution, led by students and the public, be safeguarded.

The statement concludes with a call for unity and swift action to protect the nation's future from what they describe as the dangers of Awami League's fascist rule.
