Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus reached Dubai on Wednesday to take part in the World Governments Summit.
United Arab Emirates Sports Minister Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi welcomed Yunus upon his arrival, according to a message received in Dhaka on Thursday.
Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi thanked the chief adviser for his participation in the summit and briefed him on the internationally reputed event being held in Dubai annually over the past decade.
They also discussed issues related to mutual interests, including possible cooperation in the areas of sports and culture between the two countries.
Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain, Bangladesh Ambassador to UAE Tareq Ahmed and UAE ambassador in Dhaka Abdulla Ali Khaseif AlHamoudi were also present during the meeting.
