Preparations for the party's launch, initiated by the Jatiya Nagorik Committee and Students Against Discrimination, are in full swing.
The party is set to debut with a massive rally near the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. During a visit to the venue, this correspondent observed workers preparing the stage in front of the south gate of the Sangsad Bhaban.
Leaders of the two platforms anticipate a turnout of around three lakh people for the event, which is scheduled to begin at 3:00pm.
According to committee leaders, the platform's chief organiser, Sarjis Alam, said that leaders from various political parties, diplomats, families of martyrs of the July mass uprising, injured activists, and representatives of expatriates who played significant roles in the movement will be present.
Additionally, oppressed individuals from various professions who contributed to the mass uprising, along with students and the general public who actively participated in the July movement, will also attend.
The event will commence with recitations from the Holy Quran and other religious scriptures, followed by speeches from the families of July uprising martyrs and injured individuals. A documentary on the July uprising will also be screened.
Sources indicate that a partial committee will be announced at the event, while the full-fledged committee may consist of 151 members.
