Nahid Islam has been finalised as the party's convener, with Akhter Hossen as the member secretary.
Additionally, Hasnat Abdullah has been designated as the chief organiser (south), while Sarjis Alam the chief organiser of the North region, and Nasiruddin Patwary as the chief coordinator.
These decisions were made during a joint meeting of the Nagorik Committee and the Students Against Discrimination, held today at noon at the Nagorik Committee's central office in the capital's Banglamotor.
At least three leaders of the Nagorik committee, who are involved with the formation of the party, confirmed the party's name and key leadership positions.
According to meeting sources, the positions of senior joint convener and senior joint member secretary have not been finalised as multiple contenders are being considered.
The official launch of the party will take place tomorrow afternoon at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka, where the names of the finalised leadership will be formally announced.
