The UN Secretary General's Spokesperson said this at a media briefing early today.
Guterress, who arrived in Bangladesh yesterday afternoon on a four-day visit, is holding a meeting with Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus at the state guest house Jamuna.
Touhid Hossain, foreign adviser and Khalilur Rahman, high representative of the Chief Adviser on the Rohingya issue and priority matters, called on Guterress at Hotel InterContinental this morning.
After the meeting with the chief adviser, they will depart for the Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar around midday today in the same flight.
There, they will meet Rohingya refugees who have been forcibly displaced from their homes in Myanmar, as well as calling upon host Bangladeshi communities.
They will share iftar with the Rohingya at the camp where more than a million of refugees have been sheltered after they fled military crackdown in 2017.
On Saturday, the secretary-general will visit a photo exhibition at the UN office in Dhaka and meet with young people and representatives from civil society.
Guterres will also have a joint press conference with the Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain in the afternoon tomorrow.
He will then attend an iftar to be hosted by the chief adviser.
He will depart Dhaka on March 16.
