The interim government has announced the formation of its National Consensus Commission, under the leadership of Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, which will start its work on Saturday.

The commission also includes the heads of six different reform commissions, according to a circular issued by the Cabinet Division on Wednesday.

The commission's chairman is Dr Muhammad Yunus, while Prof Ali Riaz, head of the Constitutional Reform Commission, has been appointed as vice chairman.

Other members of the commission are Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, head of the Public Administration Reform Commission, Safar Raj Hossain, head of the Police Reform Commission, Dr Badiul Alam Majumdar, head of the Election System Reform Commission, Justice (Retd) Emdadul Haque, head of the Judicial Reform Commission, and Dr Iftekharuzzaman, head of the Anti-Corruption Commission Reform Commission.
