The remand order was issued on Tuesday by Senior Chief Judicial Magistrate Belayet Hossain’s court.
Confirming the matter, Court Police Inspector Md Kaiyum Khan said: “A total of 14 days of remand was sought—seven days each for two murder cases filed at Siddhirganj Police Station and five days for a murder case at Sadar Model Police Station. However, the court granted four days of remand for each case, totaling 12 days.”
According to case details, Zunaid Ahmed Palak has been named as an accused in three murder cases: the Ahsan Kabir Sharif murder case, filed at Siddhirganj Police Station on August 24; the Hafiz Soleiman murder case, filed at the same station on the night of August 22; and the Abul Hasan Sojan murder case, filed at Sadar Model Police Station on August 17.
The three victims were fatally shot during an anti-discrimination student movement.
