The revised prices were announced in a BAJUS press release issued on Monday night, with the new rates taking effect from Tuesday (November 11).
According to the statement, the price of pure gold has risen in the local market, prompting an upward revision. “Considering the overall market situation, the new gold prices have been set accordingly,” the notification said.
Under the new price structure: The price of 22-carat gold is Tk 2,04,283 per bhori, 21-carat gold is Tk 1,94,999 per bhori, 18-carat gold is Tk 1,67,145 per bhori, Traditional gold is Tk 1,38,942 per bhori.
Earlier, on November 1, BAJUS had also raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,680 per bhori, setting it at Tk 2,01,776 at that time.
With this latest adjustment, gold prices in the country continue to climb in line with fluctuations in the international and local bullion markets.
