How to make

Heat half a tablespoon of mustard oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and stir for a while. When the mustard seeds start to sizzle, add the plums. Then add turmeric, salt and water and stir well. Stir for a while and add sugar and cumin seeds to taste and cook on low heat until the sugar melts. After the sugar melts, remove from heat and serve with a delicious plum chutney. This chutney stays good for 15 to 20 days if kept in the refrigerator.
